Week of Nov 1-5

Psychology

Attention Psychology Students:  Remember we will be testing over Ch. 5 next week.  Study Guides, E-sheets, and PPT notes are expected to be completed by test time.  We will be discussing drugs and their effects on the mind, both physiological and psychological in our next class!  Looking forward to it!

Psychology Ch. 5

In Psychology we will be exploring consciousness, body rhythms, and mental states.  We will be discussing dreams and their meanings, as well as drugs and their effects on our bodies.  We will study aspects such as hypnosis, sleep patterns, and moods.  This will be an extremely informative and exciting chapter for us to dive into!

Sociology

In Sociology this coming week will be studying the socialization process from birth to death.  We will be examining Piaget's theories of cognitive development along with Erik Erikson's stages and ages of development.  We will also learn how individuals develop at different rates socially than others.  We will be having some interesting class discussions about socialization and behavior.  I look forward to the coming week!
